ABOUT MIKEY'S WAY
Mikey’s Way Foundation received its vision—a way to help connect and enrich the lives of children suffering with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses—from founder Michael “Mikey” Friedman, who lost his own tragic battle with cancer in 2008. The Mikey’s Way Foundation helps children cope with the isolation, boredom and fear experienced during their ordeal. It is the goal of the Foundation to help connect every child with their friends, family and school, enabling them to cope with extensive medical treatment and the separation from their loved ones they must endure.
HOW WE HELP
Our “Mikey’s Way Connection Cart” circles the pediatric floors of the hospitals we serve, giving away all forms of internet-ready electronics. Each child is able to select the device they feel will work best for them. Since our inception in late 2005, we have been able to reach over 5,500 seriously ill children across the country.
